Patrick von Allmen (born April 26, 1985 in Thun ) is a former Swiss natural track luge . He started in the World Cup from 2001 to 2005 and took part in two World Championships .

Career

Von Allmen took part in international junior championships from 2000 to 2004. He mostly finished in midfield and achieved his best result with 16th place at the 2004 Junior World Championships in Kindberg . Von Allmen took part twice in international championships in the general class: After failing to achieve a result at the 2001 World Championships in Stein an der Enns , he finished 32nd out of 47 rated tobogganers at the 2005 World Championships in Latsch .

In the World Cup started von Allmen from 2001 to 2005. During those five years, he was the only male Swiss natural track luge, who started in the World Cup. Most of his World Cup races he finished between 20th and 25th place, which mostly corresponded to placements in the lower midfield. In addition to a total of eight 22nd and 23rd places, he achieved his best race result with 21st place in Hüttau at the end of his first World Cup season 2000/2001 . In the same winter he also achieved his best placement in the overall World Cup as 22nd. In the 2003/2004 season he came in 27th again under the top 30 of the overall World Cup.

After 2005, von Allmen did not take part in any international competitions, but still started in national races.
