Helmtrud von Heerse

Helmtrud von Heerse (* around 900 in Heerse, today Neuenheerse ; † 30 May around 950) was a canon in the Heerse Abbey and spent part of her life as an inclusive on the Iburg near Bad Driburg . She is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church .

Life

Little is known about their life. Various sources name Helmtrud as a hermit in Heerse. However, more recent studies find evidence for the inclusion time on the Iburg (Bad Driburg) .

Helmtrud and the Ursula legend
