Helmut Fischer (born September 28, 1925 ) is a former German soccer player. With SG Planitz he became soccer champion in the eastern zone in 1948 .

Athletic career

The sports community (SG) Planitz became champions of the West Saxony soccer relay in the 1947/48 season and qualified for the 1948 soccer east zone championship with a 3-0 victory over SG Chemnitz West . The 23-year-old striker Helmut Fischer was part of the Planitz team . With a 5-0 victory over SG Weimar Ost , SG Planitz reached the final of the Eastern Zone Championship. Fischer scored the interim 3-0 in this encounter in the 48th minute. In the final, Planitz met SG Freiimfelde Halle and, with Helmut Fischer as a left winger, won a 1-0 victory in the east zone football championship. After Fischer also played for SG Planitz in the 1948/49 season, he subsequently no longer appeared in higher-class football.
