Helmut Fritz is a fictional character that was created by the French DJ and music producer Laurent Konrad . It represents a constantly nagging German who has moved to France. The character is embodied by the singer Eric Greff from Beningen (Lorraine). Konrad created the character for the single Ça m'énerve , which followed his success with the Discobitch project .

Fictional biography

The fictional biography of Helmut Günter von Fritz begins in Reinbek (Northern Germany), where he was born as the only son of Rudy von Fritz and Annegret Spiegeln. His parents run the Fritzhoff. The factory for knitted sweaters located there provides the family with a modest income.

When his great-uncle, Baron Titten von Fritz, was trampled to death by a wild boar while hunting in 1998, Helmut Fritz inherited his assets of 300 million Deutschmarks as the sole heir. Rich but extremely stingy, he bought a used Vespa , left his parents and settled in France. He settles in Paris. His enormous fortune enables him to cultivate a sophisticated lifestyle there. He eats in the best restaurants in town and dresses in the style of a neo- dandy . But the extravagant life is increasingly becoming a burden for him.

In 2009 the measure is full: He's tired of haute couture , vernissages and parties. Looking for someone to talk to with whom he can unload his load, he meets Laurent Konrad, who suggests a song for him.
