Helmut Grob (table tennis player)

Helmut Grob (born May 13, 1968 in Augsburg ) is a German table tennis player . He is German youth champion and team champion with the ATSV Saarbrücken .

youth

Grob joined the VSC 1862 Donauwörth association. In 1985 he became German youth champion in singles and doubles in Wuppertal (with Thomas Wetzel). He has been nominated several times for participation in European Youth Championships.

Adults

In 1985 he moved to the Bundesliga for ATSV Saarbrücken, with whom he won the German team championship in 1989. At the national ranking tournament TOP-12 in 1988 he reached fourth place. In 1989 he took part in the individual competitions at the World Cup in Dortmund.

From 1991 Grob played for the Post SV Augsburg in the 2nd Bundesliga, later he worked here as a player-coach (the club was now called Post SV Telekom Augsburg).

Private

Grob is married.
