Helmut Krausler

Helmut Krausler (* 1947 in Styria ) is an Austrian chef.

Career

Krausler was a student of Eckart Witzigmann . In the mid-1970s, Krausler opened his own restaurant "Bergcafé" in Niederaichbach near Landshut . Here it was awarded a Michelin star in 1977 , the first to be awarded in Lower Bavaria. The restaurant was later renamed "Krausler's Fine Food".

In December 1996 Krausler and his long-time restaurant manager Stefan Memmer took over the “Bernlochner” restaurant in Landshut, named after Johann Baptist Bernlochner .

At the end of 2014, the Bernlochner had to be closed after 18 years due to unclear lease conditions. Krausler then took over the catering in the Bernlochner city halls for two years.
