Helmut Signon

Helmut Konrad Johann Signon (born June 25, 1923 in Cologne ; † November 7, 1978 there ) was a German newspaper journalist.

Life

Signon studied art history , history and German at the University of Cologne . At the same time he worked as a local editor.

He worked in the local editorial team of the Kölnische Rundschau newspaper for over thirty years and wrote more than 40,000 reports, reports, analyzes and commentaries during this time. As an author, he has published numerous books. Since 1950 he was married to Elisabeth Lieselotte Kriechel.

Signon died at the age of 55 in a Cologne hospital. He is buried in the new Stammheim cemetery on Stammheimer Ring.
