Hendrik Schubert

Hendrik Schubert (born December 13, 1960 in Halle (Saale) ) is a German biologist and professor of ecology at the University of Rostock .

Schubert received his doctorate in 1989 at the University of Rostock and completed his habilitation there in 1996. He is primarily concerned with the control factors of aquatic ecosystems and the assessment of coastal ecosystems with the help of biological quality criteria. He works on the ecophysiology of phototrophic organisms, population ecology, and environmental ethics and policy.
