Hendrik Ziegler

Hendrik Ziegler (* 1968 in Beirut ) is a German art historian .

Life

From 1988 to 1995 he studied art history, philosophy and social and economic history at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . From 2012 to 2017 he taught as professor of modern and contemporary art history at the University of Reims . In 2017 he accepted the call to the W3 professorship for art history at the Philipps University of Marburg , with a focus on French and Northern European art of the early modern period (early successor to the chair of Katharina Krause ).
