Hendry Thomas (born February 23, 1985 ) is a Honduran football player . The national player is the cousin of David Suazo and Maynor Suazo, who are also professional footballers .

Career

The midfielder began playing football at CD Olimpia , where he made his debut in the Honduran top division at the age of 16. At the age of 23 he did a trial training at FC Toulouse in the French Ligue 1, but his lack of experience prevented him from signing a contract. Shortly afterwards, a serious knee injury even threatened the continuation of his career.

After the 2008/09 season, Thomas moved to Wigan Athletic for 1.8 million euros , where he enjoyed the trust of Spanish coach Roberto Martínez from the start and immediately fought for a regular place.

He played his first international match for the Honduran national team on February 23, 2005 against Guatemala.
