Andreas Anter (soccer player)

Andreas Anter (born August 4, 1961 ) was a football player in East Berlin . At 1. FC Union Berlin he was part of the senior league team in 1982/83 . He is a four-time junior national player.

Anter began his football career at the age of ten with the company sports community (BSG) Bergmann Borsig in East Berlin. From 1973 to 1975 he was one of the youth groups at the Pankow training center. From there he joined 1. FC Union Berlin in 1975. In 1979 he was included in the squad of the GDR junior national team and played his first international junior game on September 12, 1979. In the encounter between Czechoslovakia and GDR (2-0), he was used as a left winger. In total, Anter played four international matches with the junior team this year, but was always only a substitute. After finishing school, he completed an apprenticeship as an electrical mechanic.

For the 1979/80 season Anter was added to Union Berlin as a midfielder in the squad for the team in the junior league. Since the first team was relegated from the GDR league after this season, the previous junior league team had to compete in 1980/81 as Union II in the third-class Berlin district league. On June 20, 1981, the 1.74 m tall Anter was used for the first time in a competitive game of the 1st team, it was the game in the promotion round to the Oberliga Union Berlin - Motor Suhl (7: 1). Union did not make promotion, but Anter officially moved up to the first team for the 1981/82 season, which still had to play in the second-rate GDR league . Union reached the promotion round again, Anter played twelve point games and one promotion game and scored one goal. In the second attempt Union managed to rise to the top division. Anter was nominated as an attacking player for the season 1982/83, but played only one game in the league for the first team. It was the match of the 6th match day on September 25, 1982. In a 1-1 home game draw against Vorwärts Frankfurt, Anter was substituted on in the 85th minute.

After 15 point and three cup games and a total of three goals for the first team, Anter Union left in the summer of 1983. He joined the East German league relegated BSG KWO Berlin , with whom he was in 1985, 1986, 1987 and 1988 Berlin district champion. In 1988 KWO was promoted to the GDR league at the fourth attempt, and Anter was nominated as a midfielder for the 1988/89 season. After completing the 1989/90 league season at KWO Berlin, Anter ended his career as a football player in the performance area.
