Hennie Strydom

Hennie A. Strydom (* 1956 in South Africa ) is a South African lawyer and professor at the University of Johannesburg .

Life

Strydom was born in South Africa. He received his university education at the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein, among others . There he was awarded the BJuris degree in 1977 and the Bachelor of Laws in 1979 . Three years later he also received his Master of Laws there . His academic career began Strydom in 1983 at his alma mater , where he first as a lecturer lectures in international law held. In 1989 he obtained the LL.D. at UNISA . In 1995 he received a call for a professorship. In 2002 he moved to Rand Afrikaans University , a predecessor of the University of Johannesburg, as professor of administrative and international law . There he is currently heading the LL.M. program. Environmental law is one of his research areas . In addition, he mainly deals with questions of human rights . In addition to his professional activity, he is currently the head of the South African section of the International Law Association .
