Henning Höne (born March 9, 1987 in Coesfeld ) is a German politician of the FDP . He has been a member of the North Rhine-Westphalia state parliament since the state elections in 2012 . Höne was the youngest member of the state parliament in the 16th legislative period and has been the parliamentary manager of the FDP parliamentary group since the 17th legislative period.

Life

In 2006, Höne completed his Abitur at St. Pius High School in Coesfeld , and he spent one year of his schooling in Florida in the USA. After graduating from high school, he began a dual degree in business administration . In the course of his studies, he completed his training as an industrial clerk in 2008 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree at the beginning of 2010 . Höne initially worked in the training company, the Hülsta-Werke Hüls , until he started a master's degree in autumn 2010. After a semester at the Fernuniversität Hagen, he moved to the University of Duisburg-Essen. There he completed a master's degree in business administration. He has been married since 2016.

FDP and Young Liberals

In 2004 Höne became a member of the Young Liberals . In 2006 he was elected as a member of the state board of the Young Liberals in North Rhine-Westphalia, during the election campaign years 2009 to 2010 he was responsible for the youth association's press and public relations as deputy state chairman. From 2010 to 2013 he headed the regional association as chairman.

Höne has been the district chairman of the FDP Coesfeld since 2008 and a member of the FDP Münsterland district committee. Since 2010 he has been a member of the state board of the FDP NRW. Since 2014 he has also been the deputy district chairman of the FDP Münsterland. In 2017, as in 2012, he ran as the top candidate of his district and district association for the state election.

Local politics

Höne was elected to the Coesfeld district council for the first time in the 2009 local elections. There he was initially active in the Committee for School, Culture and Sport. Until 2014 he was a member of the committee for finance, economics and district development for the FDP district parliamentary group. In the 2014 local elections, he returned to the district council as a top candidate and was elected chairman of the FDP district parliamentary group in June 2014. Since then he has been a member of the district committee in the Coesfeld district council. 

As part of the local political commitment in the district council, Höne is a member of various supervisory bodies. For the district of Coesfeld he is a member of the special purpose association assembly of the Sparkasse Westmünsterland. Since July 2012 he has also been a member of the Advisory Board of Sparkasse Westmünsterland. He is also a member of the supervisory boards of Wirtschaftsbetriebe Kreis Coesfeld GmbH (WBC) and the Association of the District of Coesfeld for the Promotion of Renewable Energies (GFC). Both companies are subsidiaries of the Coesfeld district.

From 2010 to 2013 Höne was a member of the FDP parliamentary group in the Westphalia-Lippe Landscape Assembly. Here, as a knowledgeable citizen, he was a full member of the school committee and a deputy member of the committee for finance and personnel.

State Parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia

Höne ran for the FDP in the regional elections in 2010 , 2012 and 2017 in the regional constituency of Coesfeld I - Borken III , gaining 5.7%, 5.1% and 9.2% of the first votes. With the list position 13 he moved in 2012 and with the list position 10 in the state elections in 2017 in the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia. In October 2017 he was elected parliamentary managing director of the FDP state parliamentary group. In the state parliament he is a full member of the committee for homeland, communal affairs, building and housing and the council of elders. He is also a deputy member of the main committee, the budget and finance committee and the committee for climate protection, the environment, nature conservation, agriculture and consumer protection. He is also the spokesman for local politics in the FDP parliamentary group.

As part of his work as a member of the state parliament, Henning Höne was sent from 2012 to 2017 by the FDP state parliamentary group as a member of the advisory board of the NRW consumer center, the support committee for NRW rural areas 2014-2020 and the state advisory board for pollution control. In addition, he was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for Environment and Development NRW and the Board of Trustees of KlimaExpo.NRW. According to their own statements, no expense allowances are paid for these offices. Since the 17th legislative period, he has also been a member of the media commission of the State Agency for Media in North Rhine-Westphalia (LfM). The body has 41 members. Composed of eight members of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia and socially relevant groups and associations.

Henning Höne is also involved in the NRW-USA parliamentary groups, whose aim is political, social, economic and cultural exchange with the respective countries. Until the end of the 16th legislative period, Höne was also a member of the NRW-China parliamentary group. He is also the country representative for Great Britain.
