Henri Diamant-Berger

Henri Diamant-Berger (born June 9, 1895 in Paris ; † May 2, 1972 ibid) was a French film director and producer.

Life

Henri Diamant-Berger initially studied law, but soon became a film director and published magazine articles and books on film. In the following years Diamant-Berger was several times on behalf of film production companies in the USA in order to prepare productions there. After the occupation of France by German troops in World War II , Diamant-Berger fled and settled in the USA for some time. The films he directed after his return to France are not of great artistic importance.
