Henri Donnedieu de Vabres
Henri Donnedieu de Vabres (born July 8, 1880 in Nîmes , † February 14, 1952 in Paris ) was a French lawyer and judge at the Nuremberg trials .
He was born in Nimes as the son of a large landowner and lawyer. He studied literature and law in Montpellier and Paris. From 1924 Donnedieu de Vabres taught criminal law and comparative law at the University of Paris. After the Second World War he worked as the highest French judge at the Nuremberg Military Court. In 1947 he was appointed alongside Vespasian V. Pella and Raphael Lemkin in the expert commission for the drafting of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Genocide .
