Henrik Metz

Henrik Metz (* 1948 ) is a Danish pianist , organist and harpsichord player in the fields of jazz and classical music.

Metz studied classical piano from 1967 to 1973 at the University of Copenhagen with Arne Skjold Rasmussen. Since 1970 he has been working as a pianist for the Danish radio and the Royal Theater in Copenhagen, among others . He has also worked as an accompanist for singers such as Tina Kiberg, Bente Wist and Kurt Westi and as a chamber musician on the harpsichord with various ensembles, such as the Fredericksberg Barock Ensemble. In the field of jazz he worked with Fredrik Lundin and Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen , with whom he recorded a jazz album in 1992 as a trio; it was released under the title Fredrik Metz on the Music Mecca label . Metz lives and works in Copenhagen.
