The Henry Islands are a group of four islands off the Sabrina coast of the East Antarctic Wilkesland . They are in the western part of Henry Bay .
Aerial photographs of the US American Operation Highjump (1946–1947) were used to map them. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1963 after Wilkes Henry (1820-1840), midshipman on the sloop USS Vincennes , flagship of the United States Exploring Expedition (1838-1842) under the direction of his uncle, the US polar explorer Charles Wilkes .
