Henry Glissmann

Henry Glissmann (born February 3, 1898 ; † 20th century ) was a German politician and mayor of Pinneberg from 1950 to 1963 .

Life

On April 24, 1950, Glissmann, who had previously worked as city director, was elected Mayor of Pinneberg. The SPD politician thus became the city's first full-time mayor. In February 1962 he was re-elected and at the end of February 1963 he left office at the age of 65. He was succeeded by Hans-Hermann Kath .

During Glissmann's tenure, among other things, the founding of the town twinning with Rockville (US state Maryland ) in 1957 as well as the opening of the Johannes Brahms School.
