Henry Hillman

Henry Lea Hillman (born December 25, 1918 in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania , † April 14, 2017 ) was an American entrepreneur and philanthropist .

Life

Henry Hillman took over Pittsburgh Coke & Chemical from his father, John Hartwell Hillman Jr., and invested in various real estate and investment companies in the decades that followed. He was chairman of the investment firm The Hillman Ventures Inc. He was one of the richest Americans according to Forbes Magazine and is listed on The World's Billionaires . Hillman was married to Elsie Hillman (1925-2015), had four children and lived with his family in Pittsburgh . Together with his wife he founded the Hillman Foundation and the Henry L. Hillman Foundation in Pittsburgh .
