Henryk Ryszard Kmiecik (born December 1, 1953 in Lubawka ) is a Polish politician of the Ruch Palikota ( Palikot movement ).

The trained mechanic and electrician worked for a municipal housing company until 1987. Since 1987 he has been the owner of a construction company he founded. In 1980 he was one of the organizers of strikes and the founding of Solidarność . He then became vice-chairman of the coordination and operations committee and continued to work for them after Solidarność was banned. In 1989 he went to Germany and in 1998 returned to Poland where he continued to run his construction company. At the same time he was active in the local elections for Nasza Gmina Lubawka ( Our Municipality Lubawka ). In the 2010 self-government elections , he applied for a seat in the district council of the Powiat Kamiennogórski on the list of the Platforma Obywatelska ( citizens' platform ), but was unsuccessful. In October 2010 he joined the Ruch Palikota. In the 2011 parliamentary elections , he ran in constituency 1 Legnica for the Ruch Palikota. With 13,015 votes, he was able to win a mandate for the Sejm .
