Henryk Woźniak (cyclist)

Henryk Woźniak (born October 14, 1946 in Sieradz , † March 3, 1994 in Kraków ) was a Polish cyclist and national champion in cycling .

Athletic career

His first major success was the 1964 victory in the Dookoła Mazowsza stage race . In 1966 he was able to repeat this success. There were also three stage wins in the Tour of Poland . In 1967 he also won the tour. He also won the Małopolski Wyścig Górski race , also a stage race. In 1970, when Radoš Čubrić won, he was second in the Tour of Yugoslavia (third was Hennie Kuiper ) and 9th in the British Milk Race .

In 1967 he was the Polish team time trial champion with the four from Legia Warsaw . He won another championship title of Poland in 1972 in the cyclo-cross race . In 1967 he was at the UCI Road World Championships 22nd in the individual race and 7th in the team time trial, then in 1970 62nd in the individual race.
