education and profession

After compulsory school, Aspöck graduated from the Higher Agricultural College of St. Florian, from which he graduated with the Matura . From 1989 he worked for seven years in sales in a feed company, then he switched to the food industry and was sales manager at Hubers Landhendl GesmbH in Pfaffstätt. In 1990 he took over his parents' farm, which he has been running as an organic farm since 1995.

politics

Aspöck had been a councilor in Hofkirchen since 1997. In February 2002 he became district party chairman of Grieskirchen / Eferding and on October 13, 2003, he became a community leader. He has been a member of the federal party executive since 2005 and was regional party chairman from 2006 to 2008. Aspöck has been a member of the state parliament in the Upper Austrian state parliament since October 23, 2003. He is a member of the committees for economic affairs; for EU matters as well as in the building committee.

Aspöck left the FPÖ on April 24, 2009 and ran for the BZÖ in the European elections in Austria 2009 in June 2009. The politician wanted to reform the Upper Austrian FP, but failed in his endeavors and was faced with political end. As a consequence, he was ranked in a hopeless position by the FPÖ party executive for the state election that took place in autumn 2009. His subsequent move to the BZÖ turned out to be an unfortunate decision for him, as the lack of structures in the party improvised election campaign meant that he failed to achieve the desired election goal - entry into the Upper Austrian Landtag.
