Herbert Buhl

Herbert Friedrich Hans Buhl (born January 8, 1901 in Kaiserslautern ; † June 12, 1963 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Herbert Buhl attended the Mannheim Commercial College and completed his studies with a degree in business administration and a doctorate to become Dr. rer. pole. from. He worked as a trade instructor in Mannheim and Kaiserslautern, from 1931 as an independent economic and financial expert in Kaiserslautern and from 1937 as a real estate agent in Konstanz.

During the Nazi era, Buhl had been a member of the NSV since 1934 and the DAF since 1938 . After the war, in 1946 he joined the SPD District Association of the Palatinate and was the SPD-Palatinate's agent for reparation issues. In 1946/47 he was a member of the Advisory State Assembly of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate. In the national assembly he was chairman of the finance committee. Until 1947 he was mayor of Neustadt. In 1947 he was expelled from the SPD.

He was the general representative of the DGB Rhineland-Palatinate for reparations and head of the association for the defense of anti-Semitism in Kaiserslautern.
