Herbert Dahlhof (born April 10, 1925 in Friedland in East Prussia , † October 5, 2006 ) was a German SPD politician .

education and profession

Herbert Dahlhof graduated from elementary school from 1931 to 1939. This was followed by state advanced courses and a visit to the teacher training institute and the college of education. In 1944 he passed the first state examination for teaching at elementary schools, and in 1950 the second state examination. From 1944 to 1956 he worked as a teacher, he was deputy principal from 1956 to 1960 and from 1960 to 1970 rector. In 1970 he became a school councilor. According to the state legal status law, he was retired in 1975. In 1980 he resigned from office in accordance with Section 32 of the North Rhine-Westphalia Deputies Act (AbgG NW).

Herbert Dahlhof was a member of the SPD from 1960. He was chairman of District I Solingen from 1968 to 1970. From 1976 to 1979 he was a member of the district planning council of the district president Düsseldorf. Dahlhof was a member of the city council of Solingen from 1969 to 1981. As parliamentary group leader of the SPD, he worked in the council from 1973 to 1980.

From 1955 he was a member of the Education and Science Union. From 1959 to 1963 he was the local chairman of the union for education and science in Oberhausen. From 1959 to 1963 he was also a member of the regional synod of the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland .

Herbert Dahlhof was from May 28, 1975 to May 29, 1985 directly elected member of the 8th and 9th state parliaments of North Rhine-Westphalia for constituency 054 Solingen I and constituency 038 Solingen I.
