Herbert Fieseler (born May 7, 1924 in Essen ) is a German architect , North Rhine-Westphalian construction clerk and author.

Fieseler studied architecture at RWTH Aachen University and obtained the academic degree of graduate engineer. He worked in the state service for the state of North Rhine-Westphalia in Essen and Düsseldorf and ended his service with the rank of ministerial councilor.

Comment on the building use ordinance

Together with Hans Carl Fickert , Fieseler published ten editions of a commentary on the building use ordinance from 1969 . From the 11th edition onwards, the commentary will still be marketed under the name Fickert / Fieseler , but the original authors only have an advisory role. The commentary dealt early on with the topic of environmental protection in German building and planning law .
