Herbert Jacob (economist)

Herbert Jacob (* 1927 in Frankfurt am Main ; † 1997 ) was a German economist . He was Professor of Business Administration at the University of Hamburg and Scientific Director of the Institute for International Business Research eV (IbF) in Hamburg .

Career

1948–1951 he studied business administration and economics at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main . He taught at the University of Hamburg from 1961 to 1993 at the chair for industrial management and organization. In memory of the researcher and lecturer in business administration, the Hamburg University Society awards the Professor Herbert Jacob Prize every two years.
