Herbie Brennan

James Herbert Brennan (born July 5, 1940 ; mostly just JH Brennan ; pseudonyms: Herbie Brennan , Maria Palmer ) is an Irish author for children's and adult books and for computer software and games. He also works for radio stations.

biography

Brennan wrote his first novel in his teens, which he later sold to the literary agency Curtis Brown Ltd. sent in London. However, he was rejected and even after a few short stories Brennan could not convince the agency. At the age of 18 he began writing professionally as a journalist. At the age of 24 he became the youngest newspaper editor in his native Ireland. Shortly thereafter, Brennan wrote his first novel. Since then he has written many books for children and adults. These have been published in more than fifty countries and a total of eight million copies have been published.

JH Brennan lives in County Carlow, Ireland .
