Hermann-Josef Venetz

Hermann-Josef Venetz (born April 28, 1938 in Brig ) is a Swiss Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

Venetz studied in Sion , at the Collegio Teutonico di Santa Maria dell'Anima in Rome and at the University of Freiburg in Üechtland . From 1975 to 2003 Venetz was professor for New Testament exegesis and theology at the University of Freiburg. For many years, Venetz was the central president of the Swiss Catholic Biblical Works and a long-time radio preacher on the radio station DRS 2 . His main research interests are Paul , New Testament ecclesiology and socio-historical exegesis .
