Hermann is an impact crater on the front of the moon in the plane of Oceanus Procellarum , south of the Reiner crater (moon crater) and northeast of Damoiseau .

The crater is bowl-shaped and has traces of landslides inside.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Swiss mathematician Jakob Hermann .
