Hermann Belzner (born February 1, 1919 in Bad Mergentheim , † July 9, 1991 in Frankenthal ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Hermann Belzner passed the state examination in 1934 and then passed the Abitur in 1937 after attending the Protestant theological seminars in Schöntal and Urach (Württemberg). From 1937 to 1945 he did labor and military service. From 1940 to 1943 he studied law and political science in Würzburg. During his studies in 1940 he became a member of the Ulrich von Hutten comradeship ( Burschenschaft Arminia Würzburg ); In 1941 and 1942 there was a voluntary student assignment with the Reichsstatthalter Lorraine during the semester break. In 1943 he passed the first state examination in law and from 1943 to 1945 he was a formal government trainee at the Württemberg Ministry of the Interior in Stuttgart. In fact, he was on leave and was doing military service as a flag junior. In 1945 he was taken prisoner of war.

After the war, from 1945 to 1947 he was a buyer at the Vetter company in Frankenthal, then trainee lawyer at the Württemberg Ministry of the Interior, at the Mannheim district court and at the administrative college in Speyer before taking his second state examination in law in 1948. Until 1960 he was assessor and councilor at various district offices, at the Speyer social court and the district government in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse. From 1973 to 1982 he was managing director of the Rhineland-Palatinate City Association.

From 1933 to 1937 he was a member of the Hitler Youth (most recently as a squad leader). In 1940 he joined the NSDAP and from 1940 to 1943 he was a member of the NSDStB (deputy comradeship leader there). From 1943 to 1945 he was a member of the NS-Altherrenbund . On November 29, 1946, the verdict of the Mergentheim Chamber was : Discontinuation of the proceedings for youth amnesty.

In 1949 he became a member of the SPD. For his party, he was a member of the Frankenthal City Council from 1956 to 1960 and a member of the District Council and District Committee of Ludwigshafen in 1960, as well as first district deputy in the district of Ludwigshafen. 1960 to 1973 he was mayor of Mutterstadt .

From 1967 to 1974 he was district chairman of the AWO Pfalz, in 1971 deputy chairman of the Rhineland-Palatinate community assembly and state chairman of the Association of Water and Soil Associations in Rhineland-Palatinate.

He was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament from July 1, 1965 to May 19, 1975. In the state parliament he was a member of the legal committee, in the 7th electoral term he was also deputy chairman of the subcommittee on data protection law, a member of the petitions committee and the subcommittee on the prison commission.
