Hermann Deuser

Hermann Deuser (born February 19, 1946 in Wetzlar ) is a Protestant theology professor.

In 1981 Deuser was appointed professor for Protestant theology at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal . From 1993 to 1997 he was Professor of Systematic Theology at the Institute for Protestant Theology at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen . Since 1997 he has been professor of systematic theology and philosophy of religion at the University of Frankfurt am Main . From 1994 to 1999 he was chairman of the international research committee at Søren Kierkegaard Research Center in Copenhagen. His theology is strongly influenced by Søren Kierkegaard and Charles Sanders Peirce .
