Hermann Ernecke
Hermann Ernecke (* around 1817 ; † June 12, 1894 in Berlin ) was a German portrait and genre painter.
Hermann Ernecke studied at the Prussian Academy of Arts in Berlin with Ferdinand Huebner. After completing his studies, he stayed in Berlin as a freelance portrait and genre painter. From 1839 he took part in the academy exhibitions. In 1893 he showed the portrait of Emperor Frederick III. He also created portraits of the singer Pauline Lucca , the painters Hermann Kretzschmer and Alexander Neumann, and the sculptor Otto Büchting (1827-1893).
