Hermann Ferdinand Brammer

Hermann Ferdinand Brammer (* probably before 1810 in Altona ; † after 1860 ) was a German painter .

Live and act

Hermann Ferdinand Brammer was a son of the businessman Ludwig Matthias Anton Brammer (1774–1847) and his wife Metta Dultz, who was a daughter of the businessman Hinrich Dultz . The father painted amateurishly alongside his work and probably taught his son artistic work.

Hermann Ferdinand Brammer's works were shown at exhibitions organized by the Hamburg Artists' Association in 1832 . These included the “winter landscape” in 1833, the “seascape” in 1835, the “moonlight picture” in 1837 and the “winter landscape” in 1841. In addition, he painted the Christian church in Ottensen , the fire of Kloppenburgs Mühle (1852) and around 1860 views of Blankenese and Teufelsbrück .
