Hermann Franzen

Hermann Franzen (born August 26, 1940 in Düsseldorf ; † November 10, 2019 in Düsseldorf) was the President of the Main Association of German Retailers (HDE) for 16 years until the end of November 2006 and was then appointed Honorary President. With his brother Claus, he is the third generation to run the Hermann Franzen GmbH & Co. KG office building on Königsallee in Düsseldorf . He is married and has three children (two sons, one daughter). From December 1999 to 2007 he was President of the Düsseldorf Chamber of Commerce and Industry .
