Hermann Frass

Hermann Frass (also Frass-Riedl ; * 1910 in Bozen , South Tyrol ; † 1996 ) was a South Tyrolean editor , photographer and book author.

Frass completed a business degree. He then worked as a journalistic intern and editor in Berlin. He completed his technical training as a press photographer at the German School for Optics and Photography . From 1943 to 1945 he was used as a photo reporter on the Arctic Ocean Front and the Southern Front.

After the end of the war, among other things, he worked as an editor for economically and tourism-oriented magazines.

From 1950 Frass published over 30 books, many of which dealt with the Alps and especially the Dolomites .
