Hermann Huber (musician)

Hermann Huber (* 1961 in Ainring ) is a folk musician in the European Alpine region and two-time world champion on the Styrian harmonica .

Life

At the age of three, Huber received his first music lessons on his father's accordion . Later he was tutored by Willi Schneider from Waging am See . As a child and adolescent, he was involved in founding several local folk music groups. Since 1985, Hermann Huber has played as an accordion player and clarinetist at dance events in the Bavarian-Austrian Alpine region. Since 2000, Hermann Huber has been working on the many possible uses of the Styrian accordion. He plays in various folk music groups such as the Ausserfeldner Tanzlmusi, the Ruperti Quartet, the Sunnwinkl Musi, the Gerstreitmusi, the Moser Stubnmusi and the Mühltaler Musikanten. Hermann Huber currently works as a music teacher at the Inzell Music School. One of his well-known students was, among others, the entertainer and show master Florian Silbereisen . In 2013 and 2014 Hermann Huber and his quartet fesch & resch with Ingo Nagel, Zoltan Laluska and Stefanie Weiss presented tangos, French chansons, swing, Jewish music and innovative alpine folk music.
