Hermann I. (Weimar-Orlamünde)
Hermann I of Weimar-Orlamünde (* around 1130; † October 19, 1176 ) was a Count of Weimar-Orlamünde from the Ascanian family .
Hermann I was the son of Albrecht the Bear and Sophie von Winzenburg , a sister of Abbess Beatrix II of Quedlinburg . He was married to Irmgard († July 31 (1174–1180)). From the marriage Siegfried III was. emerged who followed him as a count.
Hermann I received the administration of Thuringia from his father during his lifetime and is named as Count from 1167. 1174 the Weimar Castle in the dispute with the Landgrave Ludwig III. destroyed.
