Siegfried III. (Weimar-Orlamünde)

Siegfried III. von Weimar-Orlamünde (* around 1155; † 1206 ) was a count of the Ascanians from 1172 to 1206 (see Weimar Mint , Siegfried's bracteate .)

Siegfried III. was a son of Count Hermann I and grandson of Albrecht the Bear . As such, he was the nephew of Margrave Otto I of Brandenburg, Count Dietrichs von Werben and Count Bernhard von Anhalt , from 1180 Duke of Saxony, as well as the Brandenburg Bishop Siegfried , from 1180 Archbishop of Bremen.

He was married to Sophia of Denmark (* 1159; † around 1208), a daughter of the Danish King Waldemar I - the marriage resulted in:
