Hermann Magerer
Hermann Magerer (born April 28, 1935 ) is a German television journalist , mountaineer and writer .
From 1954 to 1998 Magerer worked for Bayerischer Rundfunk . He has also worked as a cameraman since the 1950s, advanced to become a sports reporter in 1970 and became famous for the mountaineering television program Bergauf-Bergab, which he directed from 1975 to 1998 . From 1996 to 1998 he was editor-in-chief for leisure. In 2005 he was awarded the “Mountain Spirit of the Year” by the Munich Alpine Club Section Alpenklub Berggeist (AKB).
