Hermann Merz

Hermann Merz (* 1954 in Kreuzlingen ), better known under his pseudonym Joel Dominique Sante , is a Swiss crime writer . He became known for his novel series “Tatort Thurgau”.

Life

Hermann Merz grew up in Thurgau Kreuzlingen on Lake Constance and attended school there. After training as a structural draftsman, he became an officer in the Thurgau canton police in 1976. He was employed in various positions in the traffic police, the criminal police and at the cantonal emergency call center in Frauenfeld . He was also a service dog handler for 30 years. After his retirement he wrote 10 detective novels and thrillers, which are characterized by realistic storylines and attention to detail.
