Hermann Nüdling (born January 25, 1932 in Dortmund ) is a German graphic artist , draftsman and author .

Life

Nüdling was born in Dortmund and grew up in Lünen. He attended the Werkkunstschule Dortmund , where he met the sculptor Anselm Treese . The city of Lünen hired him as a graphic artist in 1967 and he worked in public relations until 1980. The founding of a children's painting school goes back to his initiative. In 1997 he donated 110 graphics to the citizens of Lüner. In 1988 Nüdling published the illustrated book: Das Fifth Kreta and in 2008 the semi-autobiographical novel Das Dreischattenkind . Nüdling now lives in Wettrup in Emsland / Lower Saxony.

Contrary to his original plan to hand over his life's work to the Horst Janssen Museum in Oldenburg, Nüdling decided in 2014 to donate his life's graphic work to his hometown Lünen - there are around 2600 graphics. However, since the city of Lünen cannot provide suitable premises for the estate, Nüdling withdrew the donation to the city in August 2015.
