Hermann Roquette

Hermann Roquette (born August 14, 1892 ; † 1981 ) was a German lawyer and author of legal textbooks.

Career

Roquette studied law and then settled down as a lawyer and notary in Königsberg (Prussia) . He was considered a pioneer of German tenancy law and wrote groundbreaking comments and contributions. From 1928 to 1945 he was also chairman of the Bach Association in Königsberg.

At the end of the Second World War, Roquette fled to Erlangen , where he continued his work as a lawyer and author. On March 1, 1981, he received the German Bar of Honor for his life's work.
