Hermann Sautter

Hermann Sautter (born January 4, 1938 in Giengen an der Brenz , Württemberg) is a German economist, emeritus professor of economic theory and development economics at the University of Göttingen

From 1959 to 1960 studied economics at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen and from 1960 to 1964 at the University of Hamburg . He completed his diploma in Hamburg and obtained his doctorate in 1970. rer. pole. From 1978 to March 1992 he was professor for development economics in Frankfurt am Main. From 1992 until his retirement in 2003 he was a professor in Göttingen.

From 2003 to March 31, 2012 he was chairman of the Student Mission in Germany (SMD). Sautter has been married since 1966 and has three children.
