Hermann Schönnenbeck

Hermann Schönnenbeck (born December 29, 1918 in Essen - Kettwig ; † November 17, 2009 there ) was a German manager and construction economist.

Hermann Schönnenbeck, son of Hermann Schönnenbeck and Emma geb. Anger, studied economics at the Universities of Breslau, Prague and Cologne with a degree in business administration (1947) and degree in economics (1949). At the University of Cologne he was awarded a Dr. rer. pole. PhD. From 1947 to 1951 he was a research assistant at Cologne University. For many years he was commercial director at the Hochtief construction company in Essen. In 1979 he was appointed honorary professor for construction management at the Technical University of Dortmund .

Together with Egon Leimböck, he was the editor and author of the standard work KLR Bau und Baubilanz , which appeared in several editions.

Schönnenbeck was Protestant and married to Lore, geb. Steinmann; the marriage has two children.
