Hermann Stichweh

Hermann Stichweh (born October 9, 1940 in Bremen ; † January 27, 2014 in Bremen) was a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Bremen citizenship .

biography

education and profession

Stichweh was born as the son of a driver who worked for the Weser-Kurier in Bremen. He graduated from the Leibnizplatz school by 1960 and, after graduating from high school, studied at the Bremen University of Education until 1963 . Then he was a teacher at the Halmer Weg experimental school in Bremen- Gröpelingen . In 1967, after the second teacher examination, high school councilor Kessel brought him to the Senate Department for Education, where he worked as a pedagogical assistant until 1971.

After his time as a member of parliament, he worked at the Scientific Institute for School Practice (WIS) from 1991 to 2000 , and since 1998 at the State Institute for School (LIS), initially as a teacher, soon afterwards as a specialist director for social and educational sciences, school law and school history in Bremen.

Stichweh was married to Elke Stichweh (1941-2010). The marriage resulted in two sons. Its collection of minerals is important .

politics

Stichweh joined the SPD in 1961. He was a member of the board and chairman of his local SPD association in Kirchhuchting .

From 1965 he was chairman of the Young Socialists in the SPD ( Jusos ) in Bremen-Stadt and from 1968 to 1971 of the Juso state chairman in Bremen. His successor in this office was Klaus Wedemeier . In the 1970 / 80s he was also a member of the state executive committee of the SPD Bremen .

From 1971 to 1991 he was a member of the Bremen citizenship for 20 years and was active in various deputations and committees of the citizenship. From 1975 to 1979 he was the spokesman for the education deputation and an important spokesman for education policy in his parliamentary group. From 1980 to 1983 he was deputy chairman of the committee of inquiry into the riots at the Bundeswehr vow at Bremen's Weser Stadium . From 1983 to 1987 he was chairman of the committee for the training situation in Bremen. From 1983 to 1988 he was deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group.

Further memberships

  • Stichweh was a member of the Workers' Welfare Association (AWO) and the Education and Science Union (GEW). In the AWO he accompanied social projects.
  • From 2000 onwards he was chairman of the Bremen School History Museum for the Bremen School History Collection as the successor to the former Landesschulrat. D. Hans-Georg Mews .
