Viktor Nikolajewitsch Kovalev
Viktor Nikolajewitsch Kowaljow ( Russian Виктор Николаевич Ковалёв; born October 28, 1953 in Khabarovsk ; † May 12, 2007 ibid) was a Russian bandy player and trainer.
Life
Kovaljow's active career stretched from 1971 to 1999. Most of the time he played for the club SKA-Neftjanik Khabarovsk in his hometown Khabarovsk. He played 550 championship games and scored 249 goals. He could never win the USSR championship, but three times the runner-up and six times third place. In 1988 he won the USSR Cup. From 1990 to 1993 he played in Sweden.
Kovalyov also played for the Soviet national bandy team .
After the end of his career in 1999, he held various positions at SKA Neftianik.
