Others

In September 2013, a press report announced that the Bonn public prosecutor's office was investigating Ude because he was alleged to have tried to force Peer Steinbrück , the SPD candidate for the 2013 federal election , to withdraw from his candidacy for chancellor with a threatening letter. Immediately after the election, the Bonn public prosecutor's office closed the investigation as they could not see any evidence of the existence of a criminal offense in Ude's letter.
