Hermann VI. (Weimar-Orlamünde)

Hermann VI. , according to a different way of counting Hermann VIII. († 1372 ), was a Count of Weimar-Orlamünde from the Ascanians .

Hermann VI. was a son of Count Hermann IV and his wife Mechthild († after 1339), a daughter of Count Friedrich von Rabenswalde († 1315) and his wife Elisabeth, Countess of Mansfeld and Osterfeld († 1320). In 1328 he married Katharina, a daughter of Otto II von Anhalt and Elisabeth von Meißen, who had married his brother Friedrich for the second time in 1322 .

Hermann succeeded his brother Friedrich as heir of the county in 1365, although he submitted to the feudal rule of the Wettins . His marriage to Katharina had two daughters.
