Friedrich I. (Weimar-Orlamünde)
Friedrich I. Count of Weimar-Orlamünde († July 25, 1365 ) was a count from the Weimar-Orlamünde family .
Friedrich I was a son of Count Hermann IV and his wife Mechthild († after 1339), daughter of Count Friedrich von Rabenswalde († 1315) and Elisabeth von Mansfeld and Osterfeld († 1320). He was Herr zu Weimar , Wiehe, Buch and Schönwerde . Friedrich I was the last count of Weimar-Orlamünde; his successor Hermann VI. submitted to the Wettins as a fief .
In 1322 he married Elisabeth, a daughter of the Meissen margrave Friedrich († 1316) and Jutta, geb. von Schwarzburg , widow of Otto II. von Anhalt . The epitaph of the couple Friedrich and Elisabeth is in Oberweimar .
They had three children:
- Mechthilde († 1355), ∞ Heinrich the Younger, Count von Hohnstein
- Elisabeth († after 1381), nun in Oberweimar
- Friedrich III. the younger († after 1381)
