Hermann Voss (entrepreneur)
Hermann Voss was a German entrepreneur and politician and an honorary citizen of the city of Wipperfürth .
Life
On September 15, 1931, he took over a small factory for the manufacture of domestic water fittings in Wipperfürth. In doing so, he laid the foundation stone for a company from which the globally operating Voss Group developed. Hermann Voss later became mayor of the city of Wipperfürth and was made an honorary citizen of the city in 1986. The Wipperfürther Realschule was renamed after him in February 2010 in his honor in Hermann-Voss-Realschule der Stadt Wipperfürth .
His son Hans Hermann Voss joined the company in 1953, his daughter Erika Wehrli-Voss lives in the canton of Basel-Stadt in Switzerland.
